This course is designed to promote wellness by providing you with a better understanding of the types of stressors that occur in your professional and personal life. You will be able to apply the skills you learn concerning diet, exercise, healthy habits, and the benefits of obtaining good sleep to maintain overall wellness.

Objectives

  • Understand different types of stress and effects on the body and mind
  • How stress leads to depression
  • The importance of good nutrition and exercise
  • The impact of energy drinks and alcohol

First Responder Wellness (FRW) is a comprehensive inpatient/outpatient behavioral wellness treatment program exclusively for first responders. We treat post traumatic stress, alcohol, addiction, anxiety and depression.

Shift Wellness (SHIFT) provides retreats for peer support teams, trauma & resilience, and spouses.
